THE BATTALION.
L. N. Todd, U. S. A., made us a short visit before his
departure for the Philippines, leaving- his wife with her
parents, Dr. and Mrs. T. C. Bittle.
Why did Chas. Evans spend Christmas in Bryan in
stead of on the campus? It is supposed that he was
neg-otiating- for a mandolin.
Lieut. Whisenant of ’99, came very near rivaling-
Lieut. Hobson in his feats of kissing- during- the holidays.
Cadet Moser says that he had a very hard time g-ath-
ering- his Sunday school class tog-ether when he went home
to spend the holidays.
Capt. Sloss will persist in answering- patent medicine
advertisements.
Lieut. Sterns seeing- a pocket fire escape advertised
for four dollars, sent for it and received a New Testament.
Lieut. Dwyer was reported for g-eneral defficiency in
camp and brush practice.
Capt. Kyle’s side-burns look like a row of ants
g-oing- to a funeral.
Boettcher says that his “Handsome Jew” is real g-ood
looking- since he has had his nose straig-htened.
Prof.—In the sentence “He went to town for John,”
in what case is John?

Prof.—Guess ag-ain.
