Ccesar shows his good generalship by leading Antony
into a sea fight rather than a fight with land forces, where
he did not have as much the advantage. As it was, Caesar
had trained sailors on his galleys, whereas Antony’s ma
riners were not experienced.
Caesar shows great respect for the queen of Egypt and
offers her a good deal, but she heeds him not and takes
her own life.
THE QAiTE OF BALL AT WACO.
The trip to Waco on Thanksgiving week was the
most pleasant and successful one of the year. At the
start on Wednesday the 23, all the arrangements had been
made and the only cloud above the horizon was the fact
that Simpson could not go. In his anxiety to win from
Sherman he had made a sacrifice to Jupiter of his right
leg’s soundness, and consequently could not go. Besides
this, all was lovely and at Waco enough sympathy was
found to make things seem like home. A lot of young
ladies ax the hotel made the time pass pleasantly until
bedtime and books and short walks filled the time in the
morning before the game. Each member of the team
showed his eagerness for the victory in the afternoon by
saving his strength and activity for the game. So, very
little of importance took place until the whistle blew for
