i EPlTOei^Li. 4 With this issue the Battalion is in charg-e of a corps of editors to whom journalism is almost entirely new and we request that the members of the corps of cadets contribute liberally to the pages of our little Journal whose standard we are trying so hard to keep up. We know that our local and exchange columns are not so good as those of some magazines, but the benefit that we are to derive from a College Journal of our own is in writing the articles that it contains. Thus far the members of the corps have given good support by subscribing and furnishing literature, and we extend a word of thanks for the same. Our grand old college is under control of a new presi dent and a new commandant, and never before in her his tory has she made better progress than since the beginning of the present session.
