THE BATTALION.
Fraternity shall be paid direct to the quartermaster as herein
before provided.
The secretary of each local chapter shall submit a report to
the adjutant on the 15th of May, each year, giving roster of its
members and a brief account of the transactions for the year
previous. A member of the Fraternity may affiliate with any
chapter he desires, or he may not join a chapter if he so elects.
Art. 3. Fach chapter must enforce its own by-laws and a
suspension from a local chapter will not deprive a person of
his privileges as a member of the Fraternity, but chapters
may prefer charges to the Campus Council against any of its
members for improper conduct.
Art. 4. Chapter's must not adopt any rules or engage in
anything which would reflect discredit upon the Fraternity
or which is in conflict with its purposes and objects.
SECTION IX.
Article 1. The Fraternity may undertake the construction of
a building for its accommodation or for such purposes as they
may desire when they see fit to do so, under such regulations
as may be hereafter adopted at a regular meeting of the Fra
ternity.
SECTION X.
Article 1. This Constitution can only be altered as follows:
Any member desiring to alter or amend any provision hereof
or to add any provision hereto shall submit same to Campus
Council at least thirty days prior to the annual meeting. If
the council deems the amendment desirable they will advise
every member of the Fraternity by mail of the proposed
change, and shall present same to the annual meeting. It shall
be read twice at such meeting, and if it receives a two-thirds
vote of all members present, shall be declared adopted, and
shall become in full force and effect.
If the Campus Council does not deem the amendment de
sirable they shall notify the member proposing same, and shall
take no action until such member deposits with the adjutant
a sum sufficient to defray all expense of communicating same
to the Fraternity. On receipt of such sum the council shall
proceed as above.
