dents at the college. It was organized this year by the old
students residing in Southern Texas, and this is the first
meeting, which will hereafter be held at each commence
ment. The society is similar to the Greek letter fraternities
which exist in all the Eastern colleges. Its object is the
perpetuation of the friendships formed during college life
and to bring together each year at the college the older as
well as the younger students, that all who have “worn the
gray” may become acquainted. Another object of the fra
ternity is to work together for the good of the college and to
assist in building up the institution, and as the old students
of this college are now taking places in the front rank of the
professional and commercial circles of the state and figur
ing prominently in its politics, this influence will be valu
able to Ihe institution.
During the coming year local chapters will be formed at
suitable centers in order that all who wish to may join,
work hand in hand for the advancing of the ‘‘Old A. M. C.”
