Ed Monteith, Republic National Bank
executive vice president, and his family live
at 3705 Gillon in Dallas.
Houston is the home of Ralph Eads,
president of the Eads Co., his wife and their
four children.
Jay Pumphrey’s affiliations include vice
presidency of the American Quarter Horse
Association and chairmanship of American
Hereford Association’s Commercial Cowmen
Advisory Group. Jay is a rancher and estate
trustee for Burnett Estates in Fort Worth.
Jack Conger is owner of the Alamo Live-
stock Commission in San Antonio. He and
Sarah are parents of four children.
Alex Mayer, wholesale furniture repre-
sentative in North Hollywood, Ca., is presi-
dent of the San Fernando Valley Council
of B’nai B'rith Lodges.
Dallas is the home of John Swank, North
Texas sales manager for Concrete Pipe and
Products Co. He and Eleanor are parents
of four children.
William Holland, retired Corps of Engi-
neers colonel, is assistant director of A&M’s
physical plant.
William Huber is owner of Huber &
Scott, insurance agency, in Dallas.
William Bowie is in the oil and real estate
investments business in Dalla.
Scott Lanford’s Aggie son is 19-year-old
John Scott. He and Dolores also have a
daughter, Diane. The Blanket rancher is a
director of the Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers
Association.
Charles Beasley, farmer and field consult-
ant for Tide Products in Edinburg, and his
family live at 402 E. Van Eaton.
Cecil Carlisle, owner of an insurance
agency, is past mayor of Alice and director
of the 1st National Bank.
Bill Miley is chief geologist for Cockrell
Corp. in Houston.
Jack Hampton, mechanical engineer for
Phillips Pacific Chemical in Kennewick,
Wa., and his family live at 2919 W. Hood.
Sam Ferguson, president of Ferguson In-
dustries in Dallas, is vice president and di-
rector of the Agricultural Nitrogen Institute
and director of the Texas Fertilizer and
National Liquified Petroleum Gas Associa-
tions.
Jacob Chapman went into business for
himself with one line as a manufacturers
representative, with his wife as part-time
secretary. He now has his own building and
warehouse, 21 different lines of power trans-
mission products, employs 10 people, with
4 sales engineers traveling five states.
Ollie Livingston, owner of the Livingston
Hearing Aid Center in Lubbock, has been
certified by the National Board of Audiol-
ogists on National Level. He is also recipient
of an award from Zenith for service to the
hard of hearing in Texas.
Clyde Yarbrough is president of the
Clyde Construction Co. in Odessa. He and
Lula are parents of three children, Dianne,
Keith, and Danny, who attends A&M.
Tom Roof, Phoenix attorney for 14 years,
received his law degree at the University
of Arizona and did additional work at Sor-
bonne University in Paris, France. He has
served as a director of the Maricopa County
