Gilbert C. Holick, ’39 Lt. Gilbert C. Holick, ’39, was presented the Distinguished Fly- ing Cross by A.&M. President Gibb Gilchrist at a special review of the Cadet Corps in November. Lt. Holick’s citation was for out- standing service as lead navigator in overcoming adverde weather conditions to lead bomber forma- tions to successful bombing targets over enemy occupied territory in Germany. He was in the Air Force over three years and holds in addition to the DFC, the Air Medal with four clusters, the ETO ribbon with four campaign stars, the Victory Medal and the Amer- ican theater ribbon, Lt. Holick is a son of J. F. Hol- ick, long-time resident of the Col- lege Station community and broth- er of Ed Holick, ’15, College Sta- tion. Out of service now, Lt.
