“There’ll Be a
Hot Time”!
The Aggie-TCU game at Col-
lege on October 19 will be only
a side show for the Class of 1925,
which on that day will belatedly
celebrate its 20th anniversary with
a campus homecoming. It all start-
ed at the Victory Homecoming on
the campus last April, when the
twenty-fivers present decided a
reunion was in order, and instruct-
ed local members of the class to
get busy.
The local committee includes,

big tent to be erected at the East
end of the Drill Field, near the
railroad stations; and luncheon will
be served there. Members of the
class and their families will gather
at Reunion Headquarters both be-
fore and after the zame.

THE AGGIE has just learned through
T. A. Morgan, 1609 Marshall St., Hous-
ton 6, Texas, of the death in Feb-
ruary, 1926, of Merit B. Toland. He
died at the home of his father, J. G.
Toland, Sr., at Corpus Christi of a
kidney ailment. He is survived by his
wife and son; his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. G. Toland, Sr.; a brother, J. G.
Toland, Jr.; and one sister, Joe Pearl
Toland. He attended A. & M. from
1926-28, taking Architecture.
After fifteen years with the Humble
Oil and Refining Co., Antum Cuthrell
has gone into business for himself at
Pleasanton, Texas. His partner is C. E.
Long, Jr., ’37, formerly a geologist with
the Humble Company for eight and a
half years.
Col. Gabe W. Lewis Jr., instructor in
mathematics, John Tarleton Agricultural
College has been named Adjutant Gen-
eral in the Texas National Guard's 49th
Armored Division.
Lt. Col. Pierre M. Honnell recently re-

standing work while an instructor at

was officially notified recently of his
appointment as a First Lt. in the regu-
lar army. Before entering the service,
Col. Compton was a finance officer for
the National Youth Adm. and the Bu-
reau of the Census at Waco. He served
overseas with the 15th AF, was shot
down over Austria in 1944 and escaped
capture, returning to his base in Italy
some two months later. He holds the
Air Medal with two clusters, the DFC
and the Distinguished Unit Citation.
