Olin E. “Tiger” Teague, former battalion commander with the famous 79th Division, has been promoted to the rank of full colo- nel. Col. and Mrs. Teague with their two sons live at Temple, Tex- as. Col. Teague established an out- standing record as a combat officer and was wounded on three separate occasions. His decorations include three Silver Stars, the Distinguish- ed Unit Citation, Purple Heart with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman’s badge and the French Croix de Guerre with palm. Thomas J. Elder is back at work with the Soil Conservation Service as Work Unit Conservationist in the Rosebud Work Unit of the Cen- tral Texas Soil Conservation Dis- trict. M. “Little Jocko” Roberts is working for The Rockefeller Foundation as a plant geneticists in Mexico City. His work is with corn breeding and improvement. He is married and has one son, age 2. Dr. Roberts was released from the Air Corps in October, ’45, after serving in the ETO as heavy bomb- er pilot. He received his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1942 prior to entering service as a 1st Lt. in the Infantry. In his student days, “Lit- tle Jocko” was head yell leader, Lt. He commanded the 1289th Engineer Combat Battalion and saw 40 months overseas service in the Caribbean, European and Pacific Theaters. Miller, former Cap- tain in the Air Transport Command and veteran of the India-Burma campaign, has been named super- visor of the Farm Security Admin- istration office in Big Spring. Lt. Col. Joe F. Bennett has re- turned home and will farm and ranch at Coolidge. He saw service in Africa and Europe. : 0. C. T. “Bill’ Moore has announced his candidacy for the office of State Representative from the 26th District which includes Brazos and Grimes Counties. For the past three and half years he has been in the army, serving in the Asiatic- Pacific. Prior to that time he was engaged in the insurance business and taught in the Economics De- partment of the College. Sgt. Ernest J. Guilloud, Jr., has been discharged from the Mason General Hospital, L. I.,, N. Y., and has returned to his home at Dal- hart, Box 108. He is still on a rest and recuperation basis and would like to hear from his Aggie friends. Drop him a note. Capt. Farris Ivie, 3800 St. Ber- nard St., Houston, is on terminal leave after active duty since 1942. He was in the 158th Infantry and spent 43 months in the Pacific. He started in the Southwest Pacific and went through the New Guinea, Bismark and Philippine campaigns to end up in Japan. On February 9 Ivie was married to Miss Fay Chap- man of Nacogdoches. James B. Wallace, 1205 Abbott Drive, Texas City, is engineer for the Pan American Refining Corp., and was kind enough to send in a list of 20 A. & M. in the employ of that Corporation. . . . Major W. T. Guy has changed his address to General Delivery, Kyle, Texas. James A. “Slush” Williams is out of the army with the rank of Captain and on terminal leave at 921 Stephenson Street, Shreve- port 39, La. He served in the ETO for 35 months with a QM Truck outfit. He re- turned to the United States from Korea. Major Brock H. Faulkner is at Ft. Belvoir, Va., taking a course in ROTC work. Upon completion of that course he will go to Fort Benning, Ga., where he will be join- ed by Mrs. Faulkner, at present visiting in Bryan. About the first of April they will return to Fort Worth where Major Faulkner has been assistant professor of Mili- tary Science and Tactics of the pub- lic schools of that city. They will make their home at 2309 Willing in Fort Worth. Lynn H. Grasshoff advised that he is employed on the Graduate Student Course of Westinghouse Electric Corp. and getting mail at 4010 South Avenue, Wilkinsburg, Pa. ... Conrad J. Skeen has just been promoted to the ranks of a civilian and is real- ly happy about it. He saw service in the ETO and the Pacific—from Germany to Manila and back. Arnold R.
