Engineers on the Ledo Road. He previously served 16 months in the Caribbean. He is getting his mail at P. O. Box 1284, Commerce, Texas, but does not know what his next assignment will be. REXFORD WELLS spent two weeks on the campus in June attending the Special Cotton course. He is a cotton ginner at Rosebud, and doing a little ranching on the side. Fort Worth, recently spent a 30-day leave with his family after 30 months in the Southwest Pacific, the majority of which was spent in amphibious landing begin- ning at Lae and continuing to the Philip- pines. He holds the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Clusters, Silver Star, British Distinguished Service Order, and Air Medal. Col. Brockett was. called into service in Deec., 1940., and left for over- seas duty in Deec., 1942. After 3 months in Australia, he moved to New Guinea to prepare for the landing at Lae, and after the fall of Lae took part in the Philippine campaign. He received his de- gree at A. & M. in Civil Engineering and later took his Masters at Illinois Tech. Prior to entering the armed forces, he was on the civil engineering staff of the University of Connecticut. His wife is residing in Los Angeles. Capt. King is from San Antonio. LT. COL. EARL O. CULLUM, Dallas, is the commanding officer of a military police battalion in India. Col. Cullum has been overseas for over 20 months. E. K. CROUGH recently resigned as Director of the pasture experiment station in Lufkin to be associated with the Hud- gins Ranch at Hungerford. CLARENCE E. GARRISON, Sec. B, AAAF, Amarillo, Texas, is an instructor in the B-29 Mechanic School there. Sgt. Garrison went overseas in June, 1944, as a gunner with a B-24 combat crew, and was assigned to the 15th Air Force. On his eighteenth mission, his plane was shot down. Sgt. Garrison was assisted by the French un- derground in getting back to his base in Italy, and only one member of the crew was taken prisoner.
