CHARLES R, McINTIRE, Browns- ville, Texas, is now stationed somewhere in Italy with one of the oldest P-38 Light- ning Fighter Groups of the 15th Air Force. The Group was the first Lightning Fighter Group to take part in the in- vasion of North Africa and scored the first aerial victory during the Tunisian Campaign. The Group was recently award- ed the Distinguished Unit Citation for spectacular performance in aerial combat over Steyr, Austria. Maj. He received the DFC “for extraordinary achievement on many bombardment missions over en- emy occupied continental Europe.” At present Maj. Davis is serving a Bombardment Squadron Officer. He has participated in 23 combat sorties over en- emy territory in the destruction of vital . targets, and has had the distinction of leading the entire 8th Air Force on more than one occasion. He received his degree in Civil En- gineering. WALTER BRITTEN, College Station, served as livestock auc- tioneer at the registered Brahma cattle sale and other sales at this year’s Houston Livestock Show. He makes his headquarters at College Station and has steadily developed as a livestock auctioneer. CAPTAIN JAMES N. “JIM” THOMASON, a pilot with the Cru- saders, veteran 13th AAF medium bombardment unit in the SW Paci- fic, wears the Air Medal with four bronze Oak Leaf Clusters for achievement in aerial combat. He had flown fifty-six missions at last report, and seems to be as durable as he was in the days when he was a 60 minute blocking back on the great Aggie football teams of his day. MARSHALL ROBNETT, dis- charged from the army because of a football knee, played with the Chicago Card-Pitt Steelers in Pro football last fall. He likes the pro game and has made a fine record. LT.
