RICE INSTITUTE PROFESSOR
TO LECTURE HERE MONDAY
A lecture of unusual interest will
be available for the College Station
Bryan community in the address
to be delivered Monday, February
123, at 8:00 p. m. in the Physics
| Lecture Room. The speaker is Dr.
Charles W. Morris, professor of
philosophy of Rice Institute, Hous-
ton.
Dr. Morris announces his sub-
ject as “The Symbolic Theory of
Mind”. He plans to review his-
torical concepts of mind and to
discuss the intimate connection be-
tween mind and matter, a restored
theory resulting from the new
theories of nature presented by
modern physical and natural sci-
ences. The material will be pre-
sented, we are to understand, in a
popular manner so as to appeal to
an audience of laymen.
The
sponsoring the address, invites stu-
Social Science Seminar,
, Iidents and community residents to
hear the distinguished speaker.
