Barnes, In- spector General’s Department, Headquarters, Eighth Corps Area,| will be on the campus Thursday P. M., Friday, and possibly Satur- day, A. M. There will be no forma- tion of the corps for his inspection but he will observe the cadets throughout the day for military bearing, condition and appearance of uniforms, and military courtesy. He probably will observe one or more meal formations. It is de- sired that all concerned keep these points in view in order that we may impress Col. Barnes with the high standard of military training main- tained at A. and M. His inspection is for the purpose of making an economic survey to determine the effectiveness of the expenditure made by the Federal Government for military training at this institution, estimating the degree of co-operation by the Col- lege in carrying on this training, its defects and requirements.
