PROFESSOR LANGFORD’S DESIGN TO BE ERECTED Professor Ernest Langford, of th- Architectural Department, has re- ceived word from the Jackson Hill Development Co., Gardner, Mass., stat- ing that the design which he sub- mitted in the recent White Pine Com- petition will be erected on Jackson Hill, near Gardner, this spring. Mr. Langford’s design is so nearly like the “Old Jackson Hill Tavern,” erect- ed in 1764, that it is planned to use it in reconstructing the old tavern. The building, when completed, will be in the nature of “a museum where will be gathered antiques pertaining to the history of Gardner and. sur- rounding towns, in as much as they are involved in that history. The layout and furniture will be in con- + formity with the Colonial style.” HAVE YOU A GOOD JOB FOR THE SUMMER? Interview H. A.
