ILLUSTRATED LECTURE AT 7:30 TONIGHT There will be an illustrated lecture by Dr. Rogers of the Western Weigh- ing and Inspection Bureau this even- ing at 7:30 in the Assembly Hall, on the prevention of losses in shipping livestock. Dr. Rogers has several very interesting and instructive mov- ing picture films which he will show at this time. H. ———t el —eeeees SUPERIOR QUALITY MILK DELIVERED ON CAMPUS The Feeding and Breeding Station Dairy is pleased to report that three different official bacterial tests made of milk delivered to its patrons during February were within the re- quirements for Certified Milk. Ferguson of Chicago, repre- sentative of Swift & Company, was on the Campus Friday for a conference with F. D. Fuller, chief of the Divi- sion of Feed Control Service, Experi- ment Station, with reference to inves- tigation of feeding stuffs and also to consider definitions for certain animal by-products manufactured by the company which he represents. Downs Ora- torical Contest will be held in room 316 Ac. at 10 a. m. on Monday March 22. All who wish to qualify for the contest are urged to be present at that time, but contestants who for good reason cannot be present then may make arrangements with Pro- fessor Owens to speak at another time during the same week. Colonel P. L. Downs, Sr., of Temple, who is sponsoring the contest, has authorized me to say that if regis- tration for the contest is good and if the contest is of superior quality, the judges may at their discretion award a second prize of $15 in addition to the prize of $25 originally offered. All seniors, including applicants for degrees to be awarded at the end of either summer term this year, are eligible for the contest, which has been arranged specially for their benefit.
