MASONIC LODGE IN BRYAN
IS DAMAGED BY FIRE
The Masonic lodge building in Bry-
an was damaged to the extent of
about $12,000.00 yesterday morning
when fire originated in the attic sup-
posedly from defective wiring. The
furniture in the Commandery and
Chapel of the third floor was dam-
aged by fire and there was consider-
able other damage by water on the

COLONEL ASHBURN VISITING
EXSTUDENTS CLUBS IN STATE
Colonel Ike Ashburn, executive sec-
retary of the A. & M. Exstudents’ As-
sociation, will attend a joint meeting
of the Beaumont and Port Arthur A.
& M. Exstudent clubs at Beaumont
today and from Beaumont will go to |.
Marlin to organize the Falls county
club.
Luke Ballard and E. P. Hunter of
Waco will join Colonel Ashburn at
Waco and go to Marlin to take part
in the organization meeting. There
are 56 members of the A. & M. For-
mer Students’ Association in Falls
county and it is expected that a ma-
jority of them will be on hand for the
organization meeting.
