Maxwell graduated in agriculture in the class of ’19. His home is at Austin. He is an active member of the Galveston A. & M. Club and has responded liberally to the Associa- tion program. In addition to those whom he enumerates who are engaged in the practice of medicine may be included Dr. W. H. Luckett, New York City; Dr. J. Allen Kyle, Houston; Dr. U. P. Hackney, Dallas; Dr. O. T. Bundy, Marlin; Dr. B. C. Ball, Fort Worth; Dr. John E. Quay, Waco; Dr. L. F. Bland, Dallas; Dr. K. C. Knolle, Brenham, and all the other Knolle’s in medicine, Here is the letter from Maxwell: “Nearly every year for a great many years some few of the men after fin- ishing A. & M. realize that they arc on the wrong path to success. They have decided to start all over and willingly go through. four years ot mental toil to prepare themselves for | the medical professicn. They all make good doctors, because their minds are made up before they start studying medicine. It takes such a conviction as this to make good in this school. ' P. S. Tilson, owner (f the Houston | Laboratories will deliver the fourth | lecture of the course established in | the institution by the Texas Cotton | Seed Crushers’ Association. He will | speak this afternoon at 4 o’clock in | the large lecture rcom of the Physics | building. The subject of his lecture | will be “The Refining of Cotton Seed Oil.” | The speaker was at one time con- i nected with the College as professor | of chemistry and for the last 20 years | has been engaged in commercial work; | specializing in cotton seed oil and its ‘prcducts. | While the lecture is given primar- ily for chemical engineering students | all others are invited to hear and will | be welcome to the auditorium this | afternoom. SPEAK AT COLLEGE Miss Grace Leigh Scott, lecturer t of the Women’s Christian Temper- ance Union will speak in the Y. M. C. A. chapel next Tuesday evening at 7:30. She is coming here through the efforts of, the Bryan Woman’s club of which Mrs. R. W. Persons iz: chairman and is recommended by Mrs. Perscns as a speaker of pleasing de- livery and convineing information. Her subject will be on a sociologi- cal theme dealing with the ideal home life. Everyone is invited to hear her. There will be no charge for ad- mission, | — IMPORTANT MEETING SADDLE AND SIRLOIN CLUB TONIGHT There will be an important bus- ‘iness meeting of the Saddle and Sir- loin Club tonight at 6:45 in the A.
