A good attenaance and an interest-
ing program marked the meeting of |
the. Parent-Teacher Association at |
the. A. & M.. Consolidated Schocl |
Thursday afternoon. The third grade |
children provided the major part of
the program, singing three songs in
group. Little Mary Johnson, only
seven: years old and a member of
the third grade, gave two readings.
Joe Hyland and William Matthews
gave the declamations that won
first place fcr them in the senior and
junior divisions of the local con-
test.
A short business meeting followed
the program, with Mrs. A. B. Conner |
acting as chairman in the absence of |
Mrs. W. H. Matthews.
“THE AWAKENING CITIZEN”
SUBJECT OF STUDY CLUB
“The Awakening Citizen” will be
the subject of, the Campus Study
Club which will be held on Tuesday
afternoon at 3:00 o'clock in the
Y.M.C.A. parlors. Mrs. B. Young-
blood will be leader of the program
Mrs. W. B. Bizzell will discuss “The
Ccntrol of Wages,” and Mrs. F. A.
Buechel will lead the discussion.
