SEIGGA BIBLE CLASS
HOLDS ANNUAL BANQUET;
W. S. BARRON IS SPEAKER
The Seigga Bible Class, composed
of Baptist Freshmen, held its annual
banquet in the private Mess Hall of |
the Sbisa Annex at the time of the
regular business meeting last week. |
This class has the distinction of being |
the largest Sunday School class In |
the county, having at present 130
active members, with a much larger
enrollment for the year.
Mrs. R. L. Brown, wife of the pas-
tor, teaches the class. - One of the
chief reasons for the strength of the |
class is due to the splendid organi-
zation, the class being divided ino
two distinet groups and each group
subdivided into clubs with a capable
chairman for each club.
The dinner was the occasion for the
installing of the new class officers.
Mrs. Brcwn presided as toastmistress,
and first introduced L. E. McCoy, the
former president, who with very im-
pressive words handed the gavel tc
J. B. Bell, the newly elected president.
Mr. Bell accepted his office by stating
his plans and policies for the class |
activities during the spring. He thew |

The honor guests were introduced |
and each brought a message. Miss
Alena Brashear, director of one of
the freshman B.Y.P.U.’s responded
with a toast to the “Fish”. Mrs. F.
O. Martin, director of the Big Four
Freshman B.Y.P.U. followed with an

president of the B.S.U., brought an ap-
peal for the men to grow in Chris-
