competing again this year, but the
hurdlers, will make a better showing
even at that, since the same men who
were out last year will be available.
However, eligible men of more than |
ordinary ability are not to be found |
in the men now out for these events.
In the vault and jumps the team
will have the same men back who |
entered in these events last year. J.!
P. McCullough of Bryan, was not de- |
feated in the vault last year, and will |
probably better his record in the com- |
ing season. A. M. Damon of Houston |
and A. A. Ward of Winnsboro will |
have their second year on the team
and are expected to show improve-
ment. The loss of Keen in the
weights will be greatly felt, but J.
T. MecCluney of Torrestecn seems to
be capable of filling his shoes in the
discus. R. O. Wilson also will be a
man who will be hard to defeat in
this event. The shot putters and the
javelin men will have to better their
marks considerably to win points. The
team will be represented by new men
in these events.
