“LIGHTNIN’” IS PLAY
KNOWN WORLD OVER
)
The comedy “Lightnin’” which is to
be read by Miss Florence Lutz Wed-
nesday evening, May 16, at Guion
Hall needs little comment. This play
by the joint authors Winchell Smith
and Frank Bacon is one of the recent
very successful plays produced in
New York City, and will appeal to
all who can hear Miss Lutz’s inter-
pretation of it. Her intimate know-
ledge of the stage combined with her
natural ability and good training
are clearly shown in her portrayal of
character. She is able to so create
[the individual characters of the play
that they become realistic.
Tickets are on sale at the Y, the
Consolidated School, and Waldrop’s
Adults 50 cents, stu-
dents and school children 35 cents.
