Tentative Pick of Team Will be Made
for Telegraph Match with U. S.
Military Academy
Tentative pick of a rifle and pistol
team to represent the College in
matches this year will be made this
afternoon when teams are seleced to
shoot a prescribed round, the results |
of which will be competed against a
similarly recorded course shot by
teams at West Point. In other words
it will be a shooting match with tele-
graph service as the medium of result |
comparisons.
This will give the men preliminary
practice to the final competitive match
of the year which will be shot in tri-
angular fashion against the ninth |
and twenty-third infantry regiments |
on the Campus Bullis range near San |
Antonio next Saturday.
Information has been obtained here
that interest in the coming match
among the regular army regiments is
mounting almost to an
pitch as a result of the defeat which |
A. & M. handed to the regulars last |
spring. Rumor has it that the Ninth
has been sending its team prospects |
out to the range regularly during
late monchs for practice in anticipa-
tion of the coming match with the A
& M. team.

ligious convocation in Guion Hall to-
