Congratulations Are Received From All Parts of Country] President Bizzell on his return to his office last Saturday morning af- ter several days absence, found his mail filled with letters and telegrams from influential friends, in this and other states, congratulating the Col- lege on its wonderful football victory over Centre College. A few extracts from these letters and telegrams will indicate the widespread interest that the game attracted and the cordiality of the greetings from the friends of the College. Thomas J. Martin, Chief of Police, San Antonio, writes Dr. Bizzell as follows: “While you were preying on the “prayin’ Colonels,” I was praying for your victory. You stand out as a Gibraltar in the football world. I predicted your victory because, hav- ing been a freshman once at A. and M. J. Morrow of the General Staff of the United States Army, in charge of R. O. T. C. activities, writes to President Bizzell as follows: “I have read with much pleasure the account of the football match be- tween the Texas A. and M. and Centre Permit me to congratulate It is an achievement that you A letter signed by Colonel A. S. Williams, Regional Officer in charge of R. O. T. C. activities in the Eighth Corps Area, reads as follows: “Have just learned through the morning papers that Texas A. and M. defeated Centre College at Dallas yes- terday. It was magnificent and I wish to extend my congratulations to you, the team and the institution.” A telegram signed by Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Lacy of Waco, to Dr. and Mrs. Bizzell, reads as follows: “Congratulations. Today’s victory confirms our belief that we have the best team in the United States.” A telegram to President Bizzell signed by Dr. J. B. Eskridge, Presi- dent, Dr. M. A. Beeson, Dean of the School of Agriculture, and Mr. M. J. Otey, Treasurer, of the Oklahoma A. and M. College, reads as follows: “Congratulations on victory over Centre.” Dr. Charles A.
