On reaching College Station Feb. 1 he will call out the pitchers and catchers and work with them ex- clusively two weeks before ordering the rest of the squad into uniform. One of the most promising lot of slingers and receivers that A. and M. has ever had to base her early sea- son hopes on will report, although the Aggies are losing this year one of the best right-hand pitchers ever produced at the College. The absentee is Henderson, on whom the greatest part of the flinging work was placed last year. He was signed up with Tris Speaker’s Cleveland Indians. However the “maroon and white will have two right and two left paws to rely upon for a pitching staff and all four are men of experience who have done well in the past and who promise much more next season. They are Mathews and Sprague, both left paws, and Gill and Olsen, right paws. Henderson is the only man lost from last year’s team. Some who will be back in uniform in the spring are Crawford, catcher; Dwyer, first base; Wilson and Cockrell, second base; Smith and Dougherty, third base; Bugs Morris, shortstop; Guynes, Di- nan and Martin, outfielders.
