| SULLIVAN EXPLAINS THE
DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS
| FOR THANKSGIVING GAME
In answer to expressions of dissat-
isfaction: regarding distribution of
seats for the Thanksgiving game,
James Sullivan, business manager of
athletics, has issued the following
statement:
is 14,000.
controls one-half of these tickets, the
division being the fifty-yard line. This
| leaves 7000 tickets for ‘A. and MM.
i Three thousand of these are at the
lend of the field, which leaves 4000 on
the sides of the field. Of this num-
ber the students, faculty and Bryan
coupon book holders require 2000
for distribution to the alumni and gen-
eral public on the sides of the field,
therefore, it can be readily seen by
any fair-minded person how impossi-
fifty-yard line seats. Bryan alone has
applied for more than 2000 seats to
say nothing of the alumni and stu-
dents who will have their relatives
here as their guests on that day.

“At Austin last year the citizens
of that city cheerfully occupied seats
on the end of the field in order that
the visitors and relatives of the stu-
dents of the University might secure
the most desirable seats. :
“This statement is not made with a
view of an apology for the manner in
which the tickets were distributed, but
to acquaint the open-minded friends
of the College with the facts in the
case.”
