BAND Pep and Variety to Characterize Vaudeville Program Monday Night ’ scribes the propram to be staged Monday night Jan. 10 at Guion hall under the aus- pices of the A. & M. Military Band. A program full of ‘‘pep’’, varied and with appealing numbers is being prepared for this event. Funds derived from the sale of tichets will be used to meet the deficit which resulted from the tour of the band last spring. Expenses were made at every town played on that tour with the excep- tion of College Station and Bryan. There will be music by a saxophone oc- tette, songs by Miss Martha Goodwin of Bryan, Miss Beulah Cook of Navasota and Miss Nova Lovell of College. Prof-G:A. Geist will give a chalk talk; Red Thomp- son will give a monologue; Masuda ap- pears in jiujitsu and gymnasti¢ exercises; Clayton will offer a cornet solo and there will be two big comedy events. Jazz and life will be the prime features of this program, Get your tickets early. KINDERGARTEN CLASS TO BE STARTED ON CAMPUS A kindergarten class is to be opened by Mis. C. A. Medbery at the Shirley Hotel Annex, for children too young to enter school. The class will be conducted at Room 14 of the Shirley Annex from 9 un- til 12 every morning and will be open to tion fee of $1.50 per week will be charged. - Mrs. Medbery who is to have charge of this work is well trained in every phase of child life, being a graduate of the Calvert school in Baltimore Maine. She is also a graduate nurse and has thorough under- standing of children, having just closed a class of 26 pupils in San Antonio to come. _to College Station. Kraft, DRAMATIC.CLUB WILL OPEN SEASON JAN. 14 First Play of The Organization Will be Given in Guion Hall Next Wednesday An extremely witty production will be the opening event to be presented by the A. & M. Dramatic Club in: Guion Hall Friday evening Jan. 14. Prof. R. D. Brackett director of the club has been hard at work witha picked cast for the past few weeks and this initial play is expected to be an index to succeeding successes that will follow during the com- ing months. The club has a membership of over ninety this year and is starting the season with a snap that is characteristic of this live “organization. Everyone remembers the successful presentation of ‘‘The Arri- val of Kitty’ last year and the club intends to more than duplicate that success in sev- eral popular plays to be given throughout the year. Y SERVICES TONIGHT The Y is starting the new year right by promising a very interesting. program. for the services in the Y chapel tonight after supper. Rev. W. H. Matthews the new Presby- terian student pastor will deliver a 20 min- ute address. Special music has been pro- vided for and every interested man may start right by coming out.
