NOTED ARTIST GIVES
NEXT LYCEUM NUMBER
Concert at Guion Hall in
January
The next number of the Lyceum Course
will be given after the holidays on Jan.28. |
This number will be a rare musical treat |
for the campus people, as Josephine Mar-
tino, the star attraction of this bill is an
artist of the first degree. Miss Martino has
a voice of remarkable range and power, as
voice has attracted attention from no less a
person than Enrico Caruso, and it is pre-
dicted that another year or two will find
Josephine Martino one of the country’s
most brilliant and best known artists.
Miss Martino will be assisted by Vitali
| Podolsky, violinist, who for years was a
| student of the great master Auer, which in
itself is a tribute to his abilities. Mr. Po-
| dolsky was educated in the Conservatory
of Music, Petrograd. He is an artist of
wonderful ability, and one who never fails
to charm his hearers.
The sale of tickets for this number will
begin soon after {the holidays. Secretary
J. E. Lewisof the Y. M. C. A. announ-
ces that students who wish to avoid losing
their season tickets can register and check |
them at the ‘‘Y’’ office before leaving for
the holidays. Duplicate season tickets can-
not be issued.
FUND FOR ORPHANS HOME
The Campus Study Club has placed a
collection box in the Rotunda of the Main
Bldg, to receive small contributions for
purchasing Christmas presents for the or-
phans in the State Orphans Home at ,Cor-
sicana.
‘Those passing are urged to drop in their
nickels, dimes and pennies.

Students desiring Jabor on the campus
during the holidays should leave their
names at the “‘Y’’ office.

Will pay for Construction in
Memory of Her Son
Mrs. J. M. Woodson of Temple has
written Mrs. W. B. Bizzell of her desire
to construct a drinking fountain at this
callege as a memorial to her son J. M.
(‘“‘Peg’’)Woodson, former student of A. &
M. who was killed while serving in the
secret service branch of the American Ar-
my during the World War.
She desires Mrs. Bizzell to make sug-
gestions as to the size, style and pattern of
fountain that would be most fitting and ac-
cepts an invitation to come here early next
year to personally consider and pass on fhe
plans.
Swimming Pool Open.
The Y Swimming pool and pool hall
will be open every day, but Sunday, from
3 to 9:30, during the holidays.

DURING HOLIDAYS

Religious services during the holidays
will be held as follows:
Sunday School, 9:30 with classes for
cadets, casuals, campus residents and chil-
dren.
Union preaching services at 10:30 in
Guion Hall.
The student pastors will preach. There
will be good music and all are invited.
Rev. King Vivion will speak tomorrow.
Sex Books Arrived.
The sex books have arrived and are
ready for distribution at the Y office.
Call for yours before you leave. There
are a few extras if men who did not order
care to have them.
