In the past this has prov-| en one of the most popular enter-| tainments of the college year and re- | ports from all who have seen and heard the club this season state that this appearance will surpass all] others. The Baylor Club is noted for its| excellent singing and years ago won | the highest favor at A. and M. from | their rendition of such a large num- ber of popular songs. They have the music and songs that appeal to the A. and M. audience. Moreover, the manager, Mr. T. E. Sanderford of Belton, has written that the Choral Club for this season has the prettiest 3 girls ever (which is saying a great | tion, J. J. McLain, held a sale of Du- deal) and that they will offer more of the popular songs than ever be- fore. The young ladies have emphatical- ly expressed their anxiety to appear here and are looking forward with the greatest expectation to a memor- able evening. No doubt, the cadets and students will fill Guion Hall to | its capacity on this date, and many | campus and Bryan residents have | expressed their pleasure on learning |x of the engagement. The Club is making an extended tour of East and South Texas and | such is the popularity of these en-| tertainers that A. and M. is very for- | tunate indeed to have secured them | 13 through the efforts of the Battalion k: for an appearance. Coming from Ks Corsicana, the Club spends one eve- | ning with us and proceeds to Hous- | ton for the next entertainment. { The entertainment will begin B: promptly at eight o’clock, Wednes- |t day evening, April 14th, at Guion | Hall. The Battalion wishes to urge | all those who have missed the pleas- ures of this annual entertainment in the past to come out for an evening | of guaranteed pleasure and enjoy- ment. Especially does it wish to caution every one to come early for this is one entertainment of the | EXTERNE *, Teo% ofeede aad + * . * ERRMNS oe ee refaefoofesfosfesorianionfosfost ‘J <r < year when every seat is taken and |% TAKEN EARLY. 3 ——————ee eee i LIVESTOCK IN COLLIN COUNTY (1 RS 8 Fresh evidence is being received | J% every day of the progress being made in Texas in the production and dis- tribution of purebred livestock, and G. D. Everett, County Agent in Collin County, in reporting to the Extension Service, A. and M. College gives fur- ther satisfactory proof along this line in the remarkable showing be- ing made in that county. The Collin County Purebred Live- stock Association which was organ- ized in 1918, held their second annual sale March 2nd and 3rd at McKinney, Texas. The members consigned 108 head of registered Jersey and Short- horn cattle, sheep, Polland China and Duroc-Jersey hogs, which brought a total of $18,152.50. The Jersey cat- tle averaged $267.50, which is be- lieved to be the highest average for Jerseys sold at any consignment sale in Texas. The amount involved may appear to those accustomed to large deals, but it is large for a county sale in North Texas. One important feature of the sale was that 74 out of the 108 head sold were kept in Collin county by farmers as foundation stock. This augurs exceedingly well for the fu- ture prospects of purebreds in this county and illustrates the progress- ive ideas of the farmers of that sec- tion. This sow was | bought by a young farmer for foun- dation stock. The average for this | sale was $230.00. fbb pple de defedoedebebobb | A BUSY SPOT 3 oe $A BUSY TOWN | % Gunter Hotel San Antonio 4 Internationally Known Secoefeodoenfoofesfodrafosfodond ohosfoeds LN, LRT) 3rd oe Arar Sar aa al Pod 1 tuous! z EEN TO-DAY Two High Class Features—A Five Reel Drama “TARNISHED REPUTATIONS” New York Gaiety!
