From | August 12, 1918 ‘till August 31, 1919, he was on leave of absence from the College and was employed by the United States Bureau of An- imal Industry and the Extension Service of the A. and M. College of Texas, co-operating. During this period he had charge of livestock drouth relief work for the Federal Government and the College co-op- erating in Texas. In the summer of 1919 the Federal Government trans- fered him to Montana where he had charge of livestock drouth relief work as an agent of the Government for the Northwestern States. As an employee of the Texas Ex- periment Station he has issued sev- eral bulletins pertaining to livestock, particularly bulletins on cattle feed- ing and swine feeding.
