THE AGGIES WIN FIFTH
GAME OF THE SEASON
(Continued from Page 1)
local diamond this season. Only one
error being credited to them, and that
by Lackey in the ninth.
In the second Higginbotham lived
on an error as did Glezen and Alex-
ander. With the bases full Rhode
hit a long fly to center and Higgin-
botham scored on the out. This end-
ed the scoring as Dyer struck out the
next man and the third out was an
easy one pitched to first. In the
fourth Glezen lived on an error by
short and went all the way to third
when the second baseman of the Owls
overthrew first. Rhode hit to sec-
ond and Glezen was out attempting
to score, Alexander going to third on
the play, but was out when the |
squeeze failed to work. Crawford
hit a hot one to shortstop who let it
get by him and Rhode scored from
second on the play. In the fifth Cap-
tain Lewis was safe on an error, was
put to second by a neatly executed
bunt by Matthews, moved up to third
when Higginbotham hit to center and
scored on a wide throw to first by'
the shortstop from an easy roller
from Glezen. This ended the scor-
ing for the Aggies, since when men
got on bases through errors or hits,
Dyer tightened up and the necessary
hit was not forthcoming.

EE. AE ———
OUR OWN CHEM ROMANCE.
Graduate assistant, fervently, to
comely house-hold-science maiden:
“The carbon of my heart is no longer
carbon!
The oxygen of your heart is no longer
oxygen!
Be my own little carbondioxide
And we’ll bubble through space to-
gether.”
Maiden (who has just learned that
diamond is merely a form of -car-
bon):
“That precious oxygen of mine
Is highly non-reactive;
Not for common carbon doth it pine,
It needs must be that species most
attractive
That glitter and sparkle and shine.”
Grad:
“Alas, sweet maiden,
No alchemist am I,
And only such a one
Could turn my thirty and five per
Into the carbon you prefer.”
