Kyle Makes Demons:rations on Top Working Pecan Trees in the West E. J. Kyle, Dean of Agriculture, returned today from Western Texas. He left here the first of the week and went directly to San Saba to at- tend a meeting of pecan growers and horticulturists who had gathered there for the purpose of organizing the Texas Pecan Growers Associa- tion. He gave an illustrated lecture the first day of the meeting on the sub- ject of, “Top Working Native Pe- cans to Improve Varieties.” For this purpose he carried with him from here a number of lantern slides picturing the progress of such work, and also a large collection of stan- dard varieties of pecans.
