Different individuals may properly seek different kinds of insurance; and ~ Term Insurance, Ordinary or Whole Life Policies, and Endowment Insur- ance. : The two contracts of life insurance and annuity may be drawn so as to supplement one another, and the As- sociation will furnish such contracts in the form suited to the circumstan- ces of the teacher’s life. A table of the largest and best known life insurance companies shows that the primiums for insurance of the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association charged to college teach- ers are less than the corresponding non-participating premiums of any other company listed in the table. For ~ pensions or annuities the Teachers Association charges less than any other company. REV W. W. Melton of the Seventh Street Baptist Church, Waco, is spoken of as one of the most profound thinkers in the Texas pulpit, and is pastor of one of the largest Baptist churches in the state. Before becoming a minister he was a ranchman; and having been reared on the ranch, he has a thorough The speaker at understanding of youthful life. The story goes that one day in the round- up in Clay county he became dis- couraged, but after fully analyzing his situation he finally resolved to go to thd Decatur Baptist College, De- catur, Texas. Afterwards he grad- uated from Baylor University, and later entered the Southwestern Theological Seminary at Fort Worth, from which he was called to a pas- torate before he had finished school. Later he held great revivals among his former cowboy friends, and af- terwards became pastor of the First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Texas. About six years ago he accepted his present charge, which under his able leadership has grown in strength and power.
