~D. H. Kiber to Chicago.
Dan H. Kiber, local president
of the Y. M. C. A., who was chos-
en national committeeman of the
Y. M. C. A, at their Southern
Conference in Blue Ridge, North
Carolina, last summer, has gone
to Chicago to represent the col-
leges and universities of the
South in the national convention.
In addition to his visit to Chica-
go he will take trips to Battle
Creek, Michigan, Niagra Falls,
the City of Washington, Buffalo,
and New York City. Kiber will
return by boat from New York
to New Orleans. All necessary
expenses will be paid by the Y.
M. C. A. Southern Conference.
Reserved Seats on Sale.
Reserved seats for the Rice
and Texas games will be sold
in advance at| 2c, each. The
reserve seat sale for the Rice
games start Thursday morning,
February 15th, at 8 o’clock in the
office of the Athletic Director in
the Y. M. C. A. Building. Phone
reservations will be accepted but
will only be held until the morn-
ing of the game. Faculty mem-
bers and cadets desiring good
seats should make reservations
early.
ATHLETIC COUNCIL
Tennis Players.
The tennis season is opening
and no doubt there is quite a
number of students who will de-
sire to play this year. There
will be no schedule made of the
courts so long as there is not a
congestion, or so long as certain
students do not try to monopo-
lize the courts to the disadvan-
tage to the others. One rule that
must be strictly held to is wear-
ing tennis shoes while playing on
the courts. Disregard of this
rule will debar: one from future
participation and the benefits of
the court.
ATHLETIC COUNCIL.
Extension Lecture.
The first special lecture to be
given to the Extension and Dem-
onstration class (Agricultural
Education, 404) will be given by
Miss Bernice Carter in the Hor-
ticulture lecture room Thursday
February 15th, at 7:30 p.m. Miss
Carter will discuss Extension
and Demonstration work for
girls. Members of the class will
bring note books. All others in-
terested in the lecture are invit-
ed to attend. This is one of a
number of special lectures to be
given to the class during the
