I am furnishing the captain . of your company with a card on which I am asking him to list the number of pairs of shoes needed in his company. If he doesn’t bring the matter up ask him about it at dinner formation. If you hold up your hand for a pair do it in good faith and I will do my part. The price is due to advance again on the 1st of February. My last order was mailed two days ago. I want to intercept and change that order with a tel- egram so as to get all the shoes out at the lowest price. I must know at once how many pairs are required, so as to get them here on time, and if I can get out a single, bulk order, I willagree to furnish them at cost plus a small percentage. [’ve got my school expenses staring me in the face, you know.
