The Aggies return to Big 12 Conference play this weekend as they travel to Lawrence, Kan., to face the Kansas Jayhawks in a three-game series. up I was going to lose the match,” Terburgh said. “I don’t like to lose and I really wanted to win this match. I don’t get the opportu nity to play No. 1 very often, and when I do, I want to play my best and get the win. “You always have to be focused when you play at No. 1 because there are no bad [players] on the No. 1 court.” Senior Olivia Karlikova played at No. 2 in both matches, the highest she has played this season. Karlikova knocked off SFA’s Christine Hunyh, 6-1, 6-1, and completed the evening by beating ACU’s Lucy Johnson, 6-3, 6-3. v Karlikova, who played much of last season at No. 1 and No. 2 for the Aggies, has struggled with nagging injuries and illness this sea son. However, as she proved this weekend against Arizona and again on Tuesday night, she feels quite comfortable on the top courts. “That’s where I am used to playing,” Karlikova said. “It felt nice to be back at No. 2.” Kleinecke said Karlikova has improved and expects her to play an increased role in the Aggies upcoming matches. “Olivia is back,” Kleinecke said. “She is working hard in her points and playing a lot smarter.” The Aggies will travel to Lincoln, Neb., this weekend to face the Cornhuskers on Saturday.
