Cook and Royall will face each other in the run-off election for stu dent body president Wednesday. In the regular election last week, Royall received the largest percent age of the vote, with 30.4 percent of all votes cast, followed by Cook with 22.5 percent. The symposium, sponsored by Lamda Sigma, is usually held Wednesday at noon but was resched uled this week because the group wanted to have the symposium be fore the run-off election. “Students need to know their pre sident,” said Amy Lovett, a member of both Lambda Sigma and the Stu dent Government election commi- sion. “They need to get to know who they’re voting for.” During the symposium, both can didates will have five minutes for opening statements and then will be asked three questions. The questions will be selected by Lambda Sigma and the Student Government elec tion commision. After the prepared questions, au dience members will be able to ask questions. Both candidates then will present their closing statements. Lambda Sigma President Cindy Gay said, “We really hope this en courages voter turnout and stimu lates interest in the election.” A/fiG+ia+te.4.
