Dommel, a junior from Hous ton Jones High School, garnered a first place in the 50-yard free style with a 21-7 clocking for the distance. His finish qualified him for the NCAA Championships in two weeks on the campus of In diana University. Overall, the Aggies finished a strong fifth in one of the best conference aquatic fields in many years. Other Aggie finishers were: Tom Sparks, fourth in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke and a ninth in the 50- yard freestyle; Ronnie Rogers, eighth in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breast stroke and a tenth place in the 200-yard In dividual Medley; Colin Dunn, sixth in the 100-yard backstroke and eighth in the 100-yard but terfly. Staub Settlement Hinted By Astros HOUSTON ) _ Houston Astro officials indicated Monday the controversial Houston-Mon- treal player trade will be settled within 48 hours. There was indication Rusty Staub will be returned to Hous ton and Jesus Alou returned to Montreal. There was speculation this would pave the way for Houston to make another deal involving Staub, possibly a trade that would send the outfielder to the Atlanta Braves. Houston had traded Staub to Montreal in exchange for Alou and Donn Clendenon. Clendenon later announced he was retiring. ■A OF NEW HAVEN/A GENTLEMAN'S SHIRT 3im £» turner. unibersfitp men’sf toear 329 University Drive 713/846-2706 College Station, Texas 77840 Call 822-1441 Allow 20 Minutes Carry Out or Eat-In THE PIZZA HUT 2610 Texas Ave. LET US HELP YOU HAVE A HAPPY EASTER With EASTER CASH 'Ljniversitu oLt oan 317 Patricia (North Gate) CoUege Station, Texas r Hodge, of being and sal alienate ROADBLOCK Mike Coleman (23) of Colorado forms a human roadblock in the path of A&M’s Chuck Smith (42) during- Saturday’s NCAA regional match between the Aggies and Colorado.
