THE bahalion Thursday, March 18, 1965 College Station, Texas Page 7 Beasley: Story Of A Season Honors continue to mount up for John Beasley, the man who rewrote the A&M basketball record book during - the 1964-65 season. Beasley has been a consensus choice for the All-SWC teams and has been voted regional All-America honors by Look Maga zine. The 6-9 junior from Kildare bombed the nets this year at a 25.8 average over the full season and fired at a 28.2 clip in SWC play. Beasley wound up with a .474 shooting percentage. Most of his points came on long jump shots fired in John’s unusual “shot- put” style. In the final reckoning, the Aggie point making machine broke six school records, tied another, and broke three SWC marks during the 1964-1965 season. THE BEASLEY SLATE SWC Records 1.
