No. 65. Holiday Announcement. Many inquiries are coming to me concerning the date the holi days will b e g i n. The holi days will begin with the morning of December 22. Students will be permitted to start for their homes as soon as they may de sire after the close of the last class or practice period on Thurs day, December 21. Class work will be resumed at 8:00 a. m., Thursday, January 2 , 19 17. Please do not submit permits to leave earlier. In advance I wish each cadet a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. W. B. There is a rumor on the cam pus to the effect that there art several cases of small-pox in the hospital, and I beg to say this is not a fact. A case was listed as small-pox but later proved to be chicken- pox. The case was so mild that the patient was not sick but had an eruption. He will be dis charged today or tomorrow. We have on an average of eight or ten patients daily in the hos pital, one or two of whom are really sick. OTTO EHLINGER, Surgeon. Overcoats and Ponchos. It is desired to see whether it is possible now to make the army overcoat and poncho a part of the regular uniform at this Col lege. To this~end, Captains of Organizations will submit a list of names of men who desire and are able to purchase the army overcoat and poncho. Price: overcoat, $9.04; poncho, $2.74, with, probably, a small cost for packing and transporta tion added.
